Have you met our client? The National at Home Dad Network
At Jitasa, we are fortunate to have awesome clients who do really great work within their communities and beyond. Their missions vary dramatically, but the passion with which they deliver and achieve them is consistent and inspiring. That’s why we’re spreading the awesome with client shoutouts. You can meet our client and their mission below.
The National at Home Dad Network
The National at Home Dad Network consistently brightens my day with their hilarious tweets. With gems like, “Anyone who says having a puppy is just like having child, let me ask you: how many times has your dog made you watch Caillou today?” and “Me: Stop picking your nose! 6yo: But I'm hungry! Me: *gag*” It’s hard not to have a giggle.
They fill their feed with the hilarity and desperation that comes with raising small humans, as well as all the love they find in parenting…and it’s inspiring. I know I’m not the only one who read “If you love someone, you better prove it. Because love is not a noun to be defined, but a verb to be acted upon” and got goosebumps.
They are however, far more than their refreshing social media presence. Their mission is to “to provide support, education and advocacy for fathers who are the primary caregivers of their children.” They achieve this mission by coordinating support groups, online communities, and hosting national conferences.
They are working hard to diminish the stigma that stay at home dads are somehow inadequate when compared to stay at home moms, establishing gender equality through their core beliefs, stating, “We believe men and women are equally capable of being reliable, competent and confident caregivers, and value both genders’ unique contributions to child rearing.” They aptly state on their website that “at-home dads are proving every day that the measure of a man is in the size of his heart. At-home dads are changing society’s view of what a dad can be.”
We are proud to count them among our clients and look forward to watching them continue to succeed in their mission.
