Have you met our client? The Idaho Botanical Garden
From great summer concerts to food and wine festivals, bugology to plant sales, the Idaho Botanical Garden is making it easy to escape the grind of the city and celebrate all that makes Idaho unique.
Since 1984, the Idaho Botanical Garden has been on a mission to provide a full garden experience for all ages. They seek to enhance the quality of life in their community through education programs, entertainment, and cultural events.
The Garden is located on land that was used as part of Idaho’s State Penitentiary. Formerly known as the #2 Yard, the Garden is nestled in the Boise foothills and surrounded by nature hikes. Within the garden you’ll find a plethora of beautiful landscapes including wilderness trails, rose gardens, summer succulents, a native plant collection, a meditation garden, and a children’s adventure garden.
They also offer great ways to expand your gardening expertise and exercise your body and spirit, no matter your age or gardening level. You can learn how to prune deciduous trees, spend a day creating fairy gardens, or attend a Tai Chi class. They offer classes for youth development, adult education, and a Master Naturalist program.
The best part is the Garden supplies all of their great classes and activities at very little cost to the attendees. Too keep costs low they depend on donations and volunteers from the community, and they offer a ton of ways to do both. You can:
- Become a member or gift a membership to enjoy all the benefits of the garden at a reduced rate while helping to sustain 15 acres of the garden.
- Honor that special someone in your life with a tribute or memorial within the beautiful grounds.
- Ensure that children get to enjoy fieldtrips to the garden by donating to transportation costs.
- Get involved and meet new people by volunteering.
- Become an education host and volunteer your time to teach others your passions.
No matter how you choose to get involved the Botanical Garden is a great place to engage in and support your community. It’s really no surprise that the gardens have been around for over 30 years. Whether you want a peaceful stroll through a beautiful landscape, to improve your gardening ability and expand your knowledge, or catch a concert or festival in a relaxed atmosphere, the Idaho Botanical Garden is the place to go.
