Fundraising series: 5 ways to donate without realizing it
1. Amazon Smile
Whether you’re a shopaholic, a foreign food connoisseur, or you just like ordering diapers in bulk to be delivered to your door, Amazon is the kingpin of home delivery. If you use them with any regularity you can make them give to charity each time you shop.
Rather than using Amazon.com for your purchases, set Amazon Smile as your default site for purchases (smile.amazon.com). You’ll get the same great Amazon site, however 0.05% of the purchase price on eligible purchases will be donated to the charity of your choice. It doesn’t seem like much, but it can up over the year. Plus, your checking account will never feel the hit, as the donation comes from the mega giants own pocket rather than your own. For more information and to set up your account click here.

2. Charity Miles
It’s still early in the year, and if you’ve made a fitness resolution Charity Miles is a great way to get your exercise in and give back to a great charity. They’ll track your activity and give back for every mile you log. You can walk, bike, run, even skip to rack up the miles you need to get and stay healthy.
Simply download the app to your iphone or android device, launch the app and choose the charity you’d like to work for. The app will track your activity using your phone’s GPS.
3. Dress for Success
Spring is nearly upon us, which means it’s time to delve into those closets and declutter. A great way to put that hard work to good use is donating what doesn’t fit you or your personality to charity.
A great option for business attire donations is the nonprofit Dress for Success. Your donations will help to empower women to achieve financial independence and break the cycle of poverty. Operating since 1997, they are in almost 150 cities and 20 countries, so there is sure to be one near you.
If you’ve cleaned out your closet, or just want to reward yourself with some fresh new threads, Sevenly offers a bit of everything for the person who wants to give back and get something in return. You can purchase cool, inspired T-shirts that speak volumes, subscribe to monthly coffee delivery, and sign up for seasonal causeboxes stuffed to the gills with socially conscious products.

5. Members Give
Credit card rewards programs can be a great way to rack up points on money you already spend. While it’s pretty obvious on credit card portals that you can redeem them for things like travel and gift cards, you may not realize that you can also donate them, or their cash equivalent to charity. Members Give is the donation portal for American Express cards, it lets you track your donations, search and choose a charity, and even donate on behalf of a family member. Most credit card companies have something similar to this and it’s definitely worth looking into, this article from Walla.by also delves into options for donating rewards.
